Although I liked her first book, Lexi James, better, this is still a great read and the perfect book to bring with you to the park or the beach this summer. Book Description Restaurant consultant par excellence and confirmed romantic Mimi Louis has already launched some of Philly's hottest high-end eateries, while transforming her boyfriend Nick into a sought-after celebrity chef. And what thanks does she get for her efforts? She finds the cad cavorting with another wom an! Heartbroken -- her cherished belief in One True Soulmate suddenly in the trash with last night's leftovers -- the betrayed "Restaurant Diva" takes drastic action: she starts over. Returning home to New Jersey, Mimi sets her sights on rescuing the now-failing family business, Café Louis, determined to forget about love, sex, and all that other nonsense. Unfortunately, there's a menu full of tasty, available men right across the counter. Maybe her romantic hunger strike isn't the answer. Maybe it's time Mimi began selecting her men the way she picks pastries and produce, by sampling all the best before choosing a main dish. Because life, after all, should be a banquet . . . About The Author Melissa Jacobs ran her own successful public relations company for five years, then fired herself. "I learned that money could buy shoes, but not happiness." She said good-bye to Philadelphia, embraced her inner Jersey girl, and is now pursuing her dream of being a novelist. |
