Wescott - Although this is a small book that can fit in your pocket, I believe it is the most helpful photography book I've read. Darwin Wiggett covers the necessary equipment, how a camera see's light differently from the human eye and how to capture the best pictures with filters. An example would be, "Digital cameras do not like the blue-yellow filters." He goes on to explain why and gives example after example with color photos of what and how to use specific filters. He also gives specific hiking and camera gear to enhance your experience. Then he suggests his favorite locations to get great pictures. This book is worth much more than the $14.95 I paid for it.
