It not only gives you ratings by glycemic index but also by load. It also discusses sleep, artificial sweeteners and other issues that affect weight gain. Cutting back on artifical sweeteners has really curbed by appetitie. And of course, the information on the Glycemic intes is very useful tool. There were some foods that I thought were a problem that I found out had very high glycemic indexes. I highly recommend this book.
